How one Chinese pupil discovered a love of reading

One Chinese pupil initially read very little in English. After I lent him a book that genuinely captured his interest, he was soon rarely seen without one. Reading became a source of curiosity and confidence rather than simply another school task.

Outcome: IELTS 7.5 overall, including 8.5 in Reading, followed by progression to the University of York.
